Dear Partners,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of our new branch in Kalamata, which marks an important step in the continued growth of our company. You may find further details on this below.
As we look back on 2025, it has become clear that AI has begun to enter daily life in a subtle but increasingly meaningful way. More and more people are now using AI—often without fully understanding how it works or being able to assess the implications of its use. At the same time, discussions are intensifying around the potential elimination of job roles and even entire professional sectors due to AI, while the market unfortunately becomes saturated with self-proclaimed experts who, aided by these tools, advise on matters beyond their true knowledge.
In my view, these conditions of uncontrolled information create greater confusion and more problems compared to previous decades, when information was scarce.
For this reason, the role of the professional advisor is more essential than ever. It is not only to offer guidance, but also to clarify why something is inaccurate or misleading, and to help clients navigate a landscape that is often far from straightforward.
Every day, we all receive an excess of information. What is increasingly missing in the field of professional services—tax advisory and consulting is the willingness to take responsibility and, when appropriate, to candidly say “I don’t know.” Integrity is a core requirement of our profession.
Looking ahead, our responsibility as Karampela’s Office S.A. will be greater than ever. We must act as a steady source of accurate information and as a guiding reference point for our clients. We must present things exactly as they are, even when the truth may be uncomfortable, and explain how clients should act – even when this may challenge their expectations. Our role is to support them in making the best decisions for themselves, with full awareness of all relevant facts and context.
Regarding artificial intelligence, for 2026 we have chosen, on one hand, to embrace it to the extent that it makes our work easier by developing internal tools for this purpose, and on the other hand, to place greater emphasis on personal interaction, face-to-face meetings, getting to know our clients, and dedicating more time to this than we did last year.
We believe that personal connection is more important than ever, and we are committed to investing more time in it, even when it requires a conscious choice to slow down in order to deliver higher-quality services.
As we welcome the new year, we wishes you a Happy New Year, health and happiness throughout 2026.
Georgios Ch. Karabelas
